After the soft launch nearly a year ago, Mahindra and Mahindra has launched the electric version of the Verito sedan, called the e-Verito, in India at a price of INR 9.50 lakhs (ex-showroom). The vehicle will be made available in 3 variants.
The Mahindra Electric Verito sedan is driven by the latest electric powertrain that has been developed in-house by Mahindra Reva. The company reports that this green e-Verito is 100% zero emission vehicle. The electric motor puts out 39 bhp and is connected to an automatic gearbox. All of its torque output is available right from the start, unlike the case of a vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine. The e-Verito can run 110 km on a full range and has a top speed of 86 kph. Regenerative braking is used to increase efficiency.
The battery pack of the e-Verito can be charged from completely flat to full using a household socket in 7 hours. However, in case of emergencies, a fast charging method can be used to charge the batteries to 80% in just 1 hour and 45 minutes. Customers can choose from one of 3 variants: D2, D4 or D6, which have differing levels of features and equipment. The price of the vehicle includes FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) scheme benefits of INR 1.38 lakhs. Prices (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for all variants of the car are provided below:
- e-Verito D2: INR 9.50 lakhs
- e-Verito D4: INR 9.75 lakhs
- e-Verito D6: INR 10.00 lakhs
